Entitled ‘Vet-Preneur in the Field of Veterinary Medicine’, the activity took place in the SKHB IPB Transformation Hall, Dramaga Campus.

The Pharmacology and Toxicology Public Lecture is an annual activity which is an opportunity for gathering, discussing and increasing knowledge about the role of veterinarians. This event also provides an overview of career prospects for veterinarians in the continuously growing veterinary medicine industry.

Prof Dr. Deni Noviana as Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs stated that through this public lecture he hopes that students will be inspired to think wider, dream higher, and be ready to become leaders in their respective fields. He reminded that education is the key to success. Education will open the door to unlimited opportunities.

“As a social entrepreneur, there are four main principles that we must adhere to. First, ‘purpose’ or a life goal that is bigger than just profit. Second, ‘passion’ or enthusiasm for the social mission that we carry out. Third, ‘performance’ or superior performance in every aspect of our business. “And finally, ‘profit’, although not the main thing, is still important to expand our social impact,” said Eko Nugroho, MBA, one of the speakers.

The Dreamlight World Media boss added, by applying these principles, someone can become a successful social entrepreneur and have a sustainable positive impact on society.

Not only Eko, this event also presented other competent presenters from various circles, both from the government and practitioners of animal pharmacology and toxicology. Some of them are Dr Ni Made Ria Isriyanthi, Tiok Bagus Taufani Sanoesi, and Ezell Imanto Nugroho, SKH. This public lecture was also attended by students from the Veterinary Medicine Study Program who were taking courses (MK) Veterinary Pharmacology I and Veterinary Toxicology MK, as well as lecturers from the Pharmacology and Toxicology Division of SKHB IPB University

The presenters provided valuable insight into veterinary medicine and provided participants with the opportunity to interact. With this event, it is hoped that students will have an in-depth view of the opportunities in the veterinary medicine sector which continues to grow today. (AP/Rz) (IAAS/MFR)
