IPB University’s Pet and Exotic Aquatic Animal Interest and Profession Association Organizes Pet Care Day 2023

IPB University’s Pet and Exotic Aquatic Animal Interest and Profession Association successfully held Pet Care Day at Lippo Plaza Kebun Raya, Bogor, 22/10. The event carried the theme Spread Love and Care to Our Animal Creature and attracted more than 500 visitors.

The event has become a platform for six animal-loving communities, who together strive to socialize the importance of animal welfare. Events included animal photography competitions, Pet Care Day activities, coloring competitions for children, and fun competitions such as Catventure and Sugar Glider.

Pet Care Day 2023 also featured a ‘Peel Through Pet Health’ workshop delivered by Drh Nurul Anjar Prastiwi. This workshop shared insights on pet care and health, so as to help pet owners understand the health and welfare needs of their beloved pets. This event received full support from the Dean and Vice Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedicine of IPB University who also attended this event.

Pet Care Day 2023 is committed to helping the animal-loving community. For example, Bakti Veteriner’s free rabies vaccination for cats has helped prevent the spread of rabies in pets.

“Pet Care Day 2023 has brought an important message about the responsibility of maintaining animal health and welfare. A day filled with happiness, education, support, and concrete actions for all who love pets,” said Dr drh Amrozi, Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedicine at IPB University.
