IPB University has Officially Appointed Its New Deans of the Faculties for the Period 2023-2028

The nine deans of the Faculties at IPB University for the period 2023-2028, including the dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SVMBS), were officially appointed at a ceremony led by the President of IPB University Prof. Dr. Arif Satria, S.Pi. The new dean of SVMB for 2023-2028 is Drh. Amrozi, Ph.D who replaces the former dean Prof. drh. Deni Noviana, Ph.D, DAiCVIM who is now the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The ceremony was held on Friday, 12 May 2023, at the Graha Widya Wisuda building, Dramaga Campus of IPB University, Bogor.

“Congratulations to the deans for the 2023-2028 period. Let us work with digital leadership which includes cognitive skills, business skills, interpersonal skills, and strategic skills. It is important for leaders to strengthen their digital leadership capabilities, as well as have a clear vision, a clear strategy, and a clear execution strategy,” said Prof Arif.

In addition, the President of IPB University also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the deans of IPB University for the 2018-2023 period who have jointly provided their best work and made an impact on IPB University’s progress and change.

“Dynamics will always occur in leading an organization. When you work hard and achieve good results, critics will burn out. You will silence those who criticize you with your excellent performance and achievements,” said Prof Arif. Additionally, the new officials that were sworn in today should have four aspects, namely digital leadership, good time management, emotional intelligence, and being a statesman.

“The newly appointed deans at IPB University are expected to support IPB University to become better. Let us focus on the legacy, the good footprints, and the great works. A good human being is one who benefits others in a positive way. Focusing on progress, benefits and positive change is the hallmark of an excellent leader,” Prof Arif concluded. (AP/DAR)
