In-Campus Transportation

Students of School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences IPB University can use public transportation that provided by the IPB University. Currently, public transportation provided by the campus are bus and bicycles.

Bus

There are currently 8 buses operating in the campus area and have been facilitated with Full AC. All buses operate in the campus area from 06.00 – 18.00 on weekdays. Operational days are Monday-Friday except campus holidays and national holidays. The operational areas are spread across 3 corridors:

Corridor 1 : Graha Widya Graduation – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Graha Widya Graduation via Girls Dormitory

Corridor 3 : Graha Widya Graduation – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Graha Widya Graduation via Library

Corridor 4 : Graha Widya Graduation – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Graha Widya Graduation via Rectorate

Campus buses can only pick up and drop off passengers at specified shelters/bus stops.

Bicycle

The IPB campus has long been accustomed to cycling on campus. From the collaboration of various parties, IPB has more than 700 bicycles that can be used as a vehicle of transportation on campus. The bike service system operates from 06.00 – 20.00 WIB under normal conditions with the last service at 18.00 WIB. Operational days are Monday-Sunday except campus holidays and national holidays. Bike rental can be done at 10 bicycle stops scattered at various points and can be seen here. The borrower needs to provide a Student Identity Card (KTM) or other identity card as collateral when borrowing the bicycle. Returning bicycles for now can only be done at the same shelter where he borrowed them. Borrowers can use bicycles during operational hours in the Dramaga IPB campus area. During borrowing, the bicycle is the responsibility of the borrower, so it is necessary to provide a bicycle lock if you want to park the bicycle in a public place. As a means of supporting the use of bicycles, various facilities specifically for bicycles have been provided, such as parking and special bicycle lanes, both dedicated and those that are still mixed traffic.

Ungu Cafe

IPB University has canteen facilities located in every faculty and other area in campus. One of the canteens in IPB is the Ungu Café that located at SVMBS. This canteen is called the Ungu Cafe because the canteen wall is purple, which is SVMBS’s identity color. The canteen is located on the 2nd floor next to Plaza Gur Dur right in front of the SVMBS Lobby. This canteen is always crowded during lunch time. There are various types of food provided here, for example geprek chicken, grilled chicken, nasi Padang, and others. In addition to a variety of Indonesian traditional food menus, the price of food in the Ungu cafe is relatively cheap so it can be bought by SVMBS students and members of the community.

Parking Area

SVMBS IPB University has a parking area for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. Four-wheeled parking area is located at the main courtyard and the backyard area of the faculty. For two-wheeled vehicles, the parking area was managed by IPB and located across the SVMBS and Faculty of Animal Sciences area.  

Building and Classroom

The SVMBS IPB University building consists of a building complex with an area of ??18,000 square meters divided into 8 wings, 4 nodes and 4 floors, equipped with 1 (one) large classroom with a capacity of 250 students, 2 (two) medium classrooms with a capacity of 150 and 8 (eight) rooms small with a capacity of 60 students and 3 international classes with a capacity of 30-35 students. All classrooms are equipped with room temperature control and multimedia infrastructure, whiteboards, and screens. Equipped with facilities and infrastructure in the classroom and practicum room will provide a sense of comfort in carrying out the lecture and practicum process. In all area of SVNBS campus has already facilitated with Wi-Fi.

Garden

Apart from having a large area, the SVMBS IPB University also has gardens which are found in almost every corner of the faculty. The gardens at SVMBS IPB University have seating facilities so it is very suitable for use by students to enjoy fresh air and chat. Students also sometimes sit in the garden while waiting for the next lecture.

Prayer Room

There are 6 prayer rooms in the SVMBS IPB University consisting of 4 prayer rooms for men and 2 prayer rooms for women. These prayer rooms are not only used by students but also the SVMBS IPB University community. The prayer rooms at the SVMBS IPB University are always kept clean and tidy, so that the SVMBS IPB University community members who want to do their worship are more comfortable and calmer.
