Veterinarians have important obligations, opportunities, and contribution to make in enhancing public health, recognizing and responding to zoonotic diseases transmission, maintaining food and water quality, and promoting wildlife and ecosystem health. There is a particular need for veterinarians to better connect to the world around them, understand the new scope of activities and obligations facing them, and collectively embrace a common theme or central discipline that unifies the profession to achieve both a senses of cohesiveness and create an identify for the public they serve. To initiate global challenge in veterinary perspective, the South East Asia Veterinary School Association successfully recognized their essential influence in improving veterinary service and contributing to the world. Throughout a comprehensive collaboration among Veterinary    School    across   South   East   Asia   region, we   determined   to  conduct      “The 1^st Congress of   South East Asia Veterinary School Association”. This year we welcome you to Indonesia, we invite veterinarians, professional, and researcher from related field to communicate their ideas, discussing and distributing their wealth of knowledge, and proposing an emerging issues, a propose to “Animal Health and Production for Better ASEAN Quality of Life – Challenge of Veterinary Education”.

PARTICIPANTS

The participants are faculty member, veterinarians, scientists, professionals, policy maker from related fields, and those who concern with animal health and production. Approximately 250 participants are expected to attend the congress.

Instruction for Author

The organizing committee welcomes the submission if high quality of oral and poster presentation related with four topics. Oral presentation will be 15 minutes (12 minutes presentation and 3 minutes for question and answer). The scientific committee will determine the final allocation for oral or poster presentations. Please submit your title and extended abstract before 15 June 2010.

Author will be notified of the acceptance by the 15 June 2010. Please submit an extended abstract and registration form at the latest by 15 June 2010 to be included for publication in the proceeding.

Due to constraints on the number of simultaneous sessions, submission for oral presentation may be assigned to poster session. Poster session will be dedicated session where you will be attend your poster and will be expected to answer questions about your research. TRANSPORTATION

By Plane
The nearest airport would be Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. There are direct DAMRI buses from airport to Bogor.

By Train
Executive-class trains called Pakuan depart Jakarta’s Kota train station, with a stop in Gambir, roughly hourly (Rp. 15,000). Ekonomi-class trains depart Jakarta’s Kota station every 20 minutes or so, but can be crowded beyond belief and it didn’t stop in Gambir. Another class is Economy-AC. You only pay for Rp. 5,500.- per trip from Jakarta. This train class is cheaper and more comfortable.

By Car
The easiest way to get to Bogor is to hire a car and a driver, and this is relatively cheap. The journey time is about one hour. There is more than one road to Bogor, and the minor roads are often the most interesting. By toll highway, Bogor is about 40 minutes from Jakarta. During traffic jam (rush hours), it will take 80 to 120 minutes. Many commuters stay in Bogor and work in Jakarta. On weekend and holidays, the trip from Jakarta to Bogor may take up to 3 hours.

By Taxi
You can take metered taxi to Bogor from Jakarta. The cost will be approx. USD 15 – 30, plus toll road fees of approximately USD 2. The trip may take up to 3 hours depending on the traffic. Be cautious during the rainy season (November – March) because the route to Bogor is subject to flash flood. It’s better to use bigger companies like the Blue Bird Group because with the biggest fleet between Jakarta and Bogor they are the most reliable.
