KEBERADAAN Staphylococcus aureus PADA MENTEGA IMPOR ASAL PERANCIS DAN SELANDIA BARU

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji jumlah Staphylococcus aureus pada mentega impor asal Perancis dan Selandia Baru. Sampel mentega diambil dari Instalasi Karantina Hewan Sementara Balai Besar Karantina Pertanian Soekarno Hatta. Pengujian dilakukan di Laboratorium Kesehatan Masyarakat Veteriner (Kesmavet) Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Institut Pertanian Bogor. Pengujian kualitas mikrobiologi ini dilakukan dengan metode hitung cawan. Sampel ditanam dalam media agar Vogel Johnson agar (VJA). Jumlah maksimum cemaran S. aureus pada mentega berdasarkan SNI No. 01-3744-1995 tentang Mentega adalah 1.0×10² cfu/g. Rata-rata jumlah cemaran S. aureus pada mentega impor asal Perancis adalah 2.0×10±1.1×10² cfu/g sedangkan pada mentega impor asal Selandia Baru tidak ditemukan keberadaan S. aureus. Sebanyak 2.3% mentega impor asal Perancis yang tidak memenuhi SNI No. 01-3744-1995 tentang Mentega.

ABSTRACT

This study was aimed to test the microbiological quality of Stapylococcus aureus in imported butter from France and New Zealand. Samples were taken from the Temporary Animal Quarantine Installation, Agricultural Quarantine, Soekarno Hatta. Tests conducted at the Laboratory of Veterinary Public Health (Kesmavet), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural University. The number of S. aureus in butter was conducted with plate count method using Vogel Johnson agar (VJA) media. Based on the SNI No. 01-3744-1995 about Butter, the maximum limit of S. aureus in butter is 1.0×10² cfu/g. The average number of S. aureus contamination in imported butter from France were 2.0×10±1.1×10² cfu/g and no one of the samples from imported butter from New Zealand were contaminated. Only one sample (2.3%) complied with the SNI No.01-3744-1995 standard about Butter.
