STUDI TENTANG PENGETAHUAN PENGHUNI ASRAMA TERHADAP GANGGUAN KUTU BUSUK DI ASRAMA TINGKAT PERSIAPAN BERSAMA INSTITUT PERTANIAN BOGOR (TPB IPB)

(Study about the knowledge of Dormitory Residents to the Disturbance of Bedbugs in TPB IPB Dormitory)

RINGKASAN

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan penghuni asrama mengenai permasalahan keberadaan kutu busuk dan mengetahui jenis kutu busuk yang terdapat di Asrama TPB IPB. Penelitian dilakukan di Asrama TPB IPB dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap 201 orang (11.38%) penghuni Asrama Putra (Astra) dan 153 orang (10%) penghuni asrama Putri (Astri) untuk mendapatkan data mengenai pengetahuan penghuni asrama terhadap kutu busuk. Pada penelitian ini pun dilakukan pengambilan sampel dan identifikasi jenis kutu busuk. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 83,9% responden mengetahui atau mengenal kutu busuk, 43,79% pernah melihat kutu busuk, 33,33% pernah merasakan gangguan kutu busuk di asrama, 62,15% responden menyatakan keberadaan kutu busuk di asrama merupakan masalah yang serius dan 99,44% responden menyatakan masalah kutu busuk di asrama harus segera diatasi. Jenis kutu busuk yang ditemukan di asrama TPB IPB adalah Cimex hemipterus.

ABSTRACT

The research was conducted at TPB IPB Dormitory through interviews with 201 person (11.38%) resident of male’s dormitory (Astra) and 153 person (10%) resident of female’s dormitory (Astri) to get the data about the knowledge of dormitory resident to the bedbugs existent. After that, the samples of bedbugs were searched and then to be identified. The results of the interviews presented that 83,9% of respondents understand about the bedbugs, 43,79% of respondents had seen the bedbugs, 33,33% of resident felt the disturbance of bedbugs, 62,15% of respondents said that the existence of bedbugs in their dormitory was a serious problem and 99,44% of respondents said that the problem of bedbugs in their dormitory must be eliminated. The bedbugs species that were found in TPB IPB dormitory was Cimex hemipterus.
