(Leucocyte Differential of Broiler which is Administered Star Anise, Temu Ireng, and Sambiloto Extract)

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tanaman obat adas, temu ireng, dan sambiloto terhadap profil leukosit ayam pedaging. Lima belas ayam pedaging strain Cobb digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dan dibagi dalam lima kelompok perlakuan, dimana: ekstrak tanaman adas bintang [P1], ekstrak tanaman temu ireng [P2], ekstrak tanaman sambiloto [P3], ekstrak adas bintang, temu ireng, dan sambiloto sebagai kombinasi [P4], dan kontrol negatif yang diberi akuades [K(-)]. Sampel darah diambil dari vena brachialis untuk dihitung jumlah relatif dan presentasi dari heterofil, basofil, eosinofil, monosit, dan limfosit. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian adas bintang, temu ireng, dan sambiloto tidak memiliki pengaruh yang nyata pada kelompok perlakuan.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this research was to study the effect of star anise, temu ireng, and sambiloto extracts on differential of leukocytes in broiler. Fifteen heads of Cobb broiler were used in this experiment and were divided into five group treatments, there were: [P1] star anise extract, [P2] temu ireng extract, [P3] sambiloto extract, (P4) star anise, temu ireng, and sambiloto as combination of extracts, and [K(-)] negative control without herb’s extract. Blood samples were drawn from brachialis vein to determine the relative total and presentation of heterophyls, basophyls, eosinophyls, monocytes, and limphocytes. Result of this study indicated that the administration of star anise, temu ireng, and sambiloto did not given different effect in treatment groups.
